Prohibited Businesses

SafePayMe maintains a list of business categories that are not eligible to use our platform and services. This list is not exhaustive and is subject to change at our discretion. We reserve the right to decline or terminate service to any business that falls within a prohibited category or that we determine, in our sole discretion, poses unacceptable legal, compliance, or reputational risk.
SafePayMe is designed for approved online merchants in eligible industries. Merchants in the following categories are generally not eligible for our services:
Illegal Products and Activities
- Businesses engaged in any activity that is illegal under applicable laws in the jurisdictions where they operate or where their customers are located
- Sale of illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
- Illegal gambling, betting, or gaming operations
- Sale of stolen goods or items that infringe on intellectual property rights
- Human trafficking, child exploitation, or any form of modern slavery
- Sale of counterfeit currency, documents, or financial instruments
Financial and Regulatory Restricted
- Unlicensed money transmission or money service businesses
- Unlicensed lending, credit repair, or debt collection services
- Unauthorized securities or investment offerings
- Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, or any form of multi-level marketing that is not compliant with applicable regulations
- Unlicensed or unregistered financial services requiring regulatory authorization
- Businesses operating in jurisdictions subject to comprehensive sanctions
Adult Content and Services
- Adult entertainment venues or services
- Pornography or explicit adult content
- Escort or dating services of a sexually explicit nature
Weapons and Hazardous Materials
- Firearms, ammunition, or weapons manufacturing and sales
- Explosives or hazardous materials
- Radioactive or toxic substances
Other Restricted Categories
- Businesses with a high likelihood of chargebacks or fraudulent transactions, as determined by SafePayMe
- Businesses that engage in deceptive marketing or misleading business practices
- Businesses that involve the sale of social media engagement, fake reviews, or artificial traffic generation
- Businesses that facilitate unauthorized access to digital systems or services
- Any business that SafePayMe determines, in its sole discretion, poses an unacceptable risk to its network, provider partners, or reputation
Determination of Eligibility
This list is intended as a general guideline and is not exhaustive. SafePayMe reviews each merchant application on a case-by-case basis. Eligibility determinations are made at our sole discretion and may be influenced by factors including but not limited to:
- The applicable laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions
- The policies and requirements of our provider partners
- The merchant's transaction history, business model, and customer base
- Compliance and risk assessment outcomes
